Veteran dubbing artist and actress Bhagyalakshmi has come with a statement supporting Mohanlal and against those who expressed their dissent against State government’s decision to invite Mohanlal as the chief guest at this year’s state award ceremony.

Bhagylakshmi in an interview given to an online news portal has made it clear that it is unjustifiable to target Mohanlal and to attack him personally is unfortunate.

Bhagyalakshmi reportedly said that it is meaningless to target one person who just assumed the position of A.M.M.A president. She also said that she will strongly resist this targeted attack against Mohanlal.

She said further that WCC members who resigned from A.M.M.A never followed up about the ousting of Dileep from the organisation last year. Referring to the skit staged at the A.M.M.A show that ridiculed WCC’s fights for gender equality, Bhagyalakshmi said that Parvathy and other WCC members have attended and participated in the show and they didn’t express their opinion against the skit then. They chose to be silent then and suddenly they are blaming Mohanlal for everything, this is not the right way to function as an association said Bhagyalakshmi. Everyone is responsible for what is happening in Malayalam cinema industry and it is not right to target people personally, concluded the senior dubbing artist.
