Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt come together for a selfie with PM Modi
Major Bollywood celebrities such as Ranveer singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi, Ayusmann Khurana and Varun Dhawan landed in the capital city Delhi on Thursday for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The aim of the meet is to discuss how the entertainment industry can work towards nation building as well as try to bring in social messages through their films, in the hope that it will bring a change in society.
This meeting was organised weeks after the PM met Bollywood producers and discussed issues faced by the entertainment industry, which led to the reduction in GST on film tickets by the government.

The meeting, which was organised by director and producer Karan Johar who ended up with a group picture of the delegation with PM Modi.
He captioned, ‘Powerful and timely conversations can bring out change and this was one of what we hope will sure become a regular conversation. Meeting the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi today was an incredible opportunity for all of us. As a community, there is a huge interest to contribute in nation building.

There is so much that we want to do. And can do and this dialogue was towards how and what ways we can do that. When the youngest country joins hands with the largest movie industry in the world, we hope to be a force to reckon with. Together we would love to inspire and ignite positive changes to the transformative India.’
